Tina's Graduation

Tina graduated from Snow College today. I am so proud of her. I am also a little sad to see that part of her life end. It was fun to stand up as an alumnus of Snow College. I think she was the only graduate that President Wyatt (Pres of the College and her bishop) hugged when he shook her hand. There are more pictures of her on Sara's photography blog. Thanks, Sara, for taking such great pictures.
Congratulations Pam. I love the name Dane.

The Nielsons

This is a picture of Sarah, Carolyn, Alice and Norma Nielson. I like the picture of my mother. It isn't so good of the rest.

The Gutenberg Project

If you have a Kindle, Ipad, or other reading device, do you know about the Gutenberg Project? It has thousands of free books available for download.
Two of my favorite free authors are Baroness Orczy and Frances Hodgson Burnett. Orczy not only wrote the Scarlet Pimpernel books, but also many other books that are fun to read. Burnett wrote a lot of adult novels that I really enjoyed. The plot lines are unexpected, but always involve people who make themselves and those around them better. I think my favorite so far was "A Woman of Quality."
Today I downloaded "Struwwelpeter",a german children's book. (It's actually kind of gruesome, but it is a memory from my childhood, so I wanted to read it again.) I am reading "Alice in Wonderland" in german and I am surprised how much I like the story.
Anyway if there is a book you have want to read but can't find it at Amazon.com, try the Gutenberg Project.

Bread makers

I have bread makers like Popi's for Heather and Heidi. Do want them now? Do you have room? I can send Heather's to her and I will be visiting Las Vegas from Mar 15-19, so I can bring Heidi's to her. Or I can store them until you want them. Also, I have a paddle for Pam's bread maker.
I love my bread makers and often use two if I am having a crowd for dinner.
Let me know.

Megamind

When the Pfiesters were here visiting they really wanted us to watch Megamind-especially Noah. We just didn't have time to watch more than the introduction. Well, we just watched it. I loved it. It is a charming and funny movie. And I never would have watched it except for Noah. Thanks, Noah.

April Conference Weather

Yesterday the temperature was in the 70s. Today we woke up to 6" of snow. This was the view from our family room window.
By the way, conference was wonderful as always.
